Aquarium Apprentice - ages 12+

Age is only a number and it is a number that is not important in conservation work! From big to small and old to young, every person can make a difference!

So, we are calling all of our teen animal lovers, aquarium goers and conservation driven friends to join us in the aquarium. (Hands first, literally!)

This camp is designed for new and seasoned EMA campers to enter conservation education from a whole new perspective. As an Aquarium Apprentice, campers will learn what goes into caring for the animals in the aquarium. This includes tank/water care, data collection, preparing and feeding animals, mentoring younger visitors in other EMA camps, animal care and handling, a student-led aquarium, field work, assisting in scheduled discovery zone exhibits and more!

And rest assured that we have lots of time outside- teenager style.

Our aquarium is unique in many ways, including our catch and release program, which campers will work with directly.

We will take field trips around the island to collect data, specimen, etc, so please be sure to have both waivers filled out!
